Abstract

Taking its cue from the opening of the lectorate to women by Pope Francis' Motu proprio Spiritus Domini (2021), this article addresses the liturgical-theological significance of the lectorate, and explores the place of lay people and their witness as a continuation of God's saving work in life and liturgy.
