Abstract

Sunday services are in crisis: declining attendance and alternative forms of worship demonstrate changing needs. While economic criteria dominate, its biblical-theological potential and its function as an anchor of identity are being neglected. A balance between tradition and innovation could revitalize the Sunday service and reestablish it as a central place of faith.
